The Emmaus Label is an e-commerce platform that both gives its products a second life and its people, a second chance. The shop offers second-hand, creative and fair trade craft products from the Emmaus network and SSE structures. These products are put online on the site by socially excluded members of the community who have received training on how to manage an online shop from A to Z.

In order to build solid bridges to employment for this target group, the Emmaus Label has set up an e-commerce second chance school. Its training provides skills in logistics, order preparation, customer service, IT development, web marketing and continuous coaching.

In 2020, the LINKTOGETHER foundation is supporting the launch of an SAS pre-qualification training course, called "Discovering the e-commerce ecosystem and acquiring fundamental digital skills", spanning 4 weeks. This training, which is an introduction to the other training courses offered by the Emmaus Label, is aimed at motivated candidates with an appetite for digital technologies and a good understanding of the French language, who need to acquire fundamental skills for effective use of tools and understanding e-commerce. The training course is divided into 4 modules:

  • E-commerce culture
  • Soft Skills
  • Professional Project
  • Basic Digital Knowledge

Label Emmaus plans to organize 4 SAS training courses with 10 people each in 2020.

The first session took place between 9 March and 10 April 2020. It was attended by 9 people with a baccalaureate level or less. The learners have acquired new knowledge and skills following this training: First of all, they were all able to follow the Google training on "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing", and 6 out of the 9 participants obtained the certification before the end of the training. Thanks to the different modules, they all managed to better define their professional project and 100% of them are moving towards a digital training.

Three other training sessions will take place during the year. They will be improved as and when feedback from learners and trainers is received. We wish success to all future beneficiaries.
