Within this framework, CSDS has created a scholarship program for disadvantaged students: ethnic minorities
CSDS (Center for Sustainable Development Studies) is an NGO, created in 2009, based in Hanoi, Vietnam, whose mission is to develop the capacity of young people to bring about change in society through a wide range of community-based projects. The goal is to improve the livelihoods, education and well-being of the Vietnamese people through sustainable development.
Within this framework, CSDS has created a scholarship program for disadvantaged students: ethnic minorities, young people with disabilities and those from remote areas. In addition to providing funding for students’ studies, the association closely monitors the progress of students throughout their university studies in order to go even further and equip them with the skills they need to strengthen their studies and facilitate their future careers. Students’ scholarships are renewed from year to year if they fully meet CSDS requirements: results obtained at university, frequency of participation in NGO events and improvement of general skills.
The LINKTOGETHER Foundation has co-financed the university scholarships of 22 students for the academic year 2018-2019.
In January 2019, CSDS organized a training and team building event for the young people they accompany. The objective was to train them on general skills useful in the professional world such as confidence in care, oral presentation, project management… Two LINKBYNET collaborators took part in this training and trained the young people in project management methods.
