Canada, a Strong Economy

It is LINKBYNET’s policy to work in close collaboration with clients who wish to outsource the operation & monitoring of their physical, virtual, or cloud server infrastructures and who host their business apps, information system, or e-business solutions. We are also determined to consolidate our expertise in growth markets in order to bolster our growth with an eye to the future. Therefore Canada was the natural choice for our first subsidiary to enter the North American market.

An upswing in demand from the USA will benefit the Canadian economy and the positive trend should continue into 2011.

Montreal: the logical starting point.

QuébecSo in October 2010, LINKBYNET will open its commercial and technical subsidiary in Quebec. We chose Quebec because, with its 7.7 million inhabitants (23% of the country’s total population), it is Canada’s 2nd most populated province, and 82% of Quebec’s population speaks French as a first language. Montreal is Quebec’s economic center (3.7 million inhabitants in the Greater Montreal area – making it the 2nd biggest French-speaking city in the world).

Each region of Canada possesses recognized competencies in specific cutting edge sectors - so firms interested in the Canadian market must choose their operational base carefully. Currently Quebec is a clear leader in New Technologies, and that is one of the reasons we chose it.

France – Canada: a Solid Partnership.

QuebecIn terms of services exchanged, France is Canada’s fourth largest partner in the world, and its second largest European partner. Around 450 French companies operate in Canada. They are to be found in all sectors of the economy and include nearly all those listed in the CAC 40; the big names in industry and services, plus many SMEs.

For Canada, France is a top ranked country for scientific cooperation and technological partnerships. Today in France 650 clients, including Michelin, PPR, Sodexo, Saint-Gobain (CertainTeed), etc. place their trust in us. Some of them will join us in this new chapter of our history in North America.

Cutting Edge Technologies: A Priority.

Nouvelles TechnologiesInformation Technologies and Communications account for 6% of Canada’s GDP (55 billion Canadian dollars - 2015 forecast: 109 billion). Nearly 12% of Canada’s economic growth over the last 10 years derives directly from the rise of the ITC sector. Currently, 32,000 firms employ 579,000 people, nearly half of them in Ontario. Telecommunications represent 40% of this sector. Giant multinationals like Nortel Networks and Research-In-Motion invest heavily in R&D.

We plan to support our Clients on the international stage so we are extending our activities to North America. This extension of our activities will also bring us into contact with new Clients and new, talented employees, as well as allow us to explore new directions in R&D.
